Hi everyone!
I am a mother of a very energetic and curious toddler who always wants to learn new things. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, she has not been able to go out and meet other children or attend any playgroups. As a result, I am always trying to come up with new activities and games to keep her entertained and educated at the same time.
Can you suggest some fun and educational activities that a toddler can enjoy at home? We have some basic toys, drawing materials, and blocks, but I am open to any creative suggestions. Thank you in advance!

Hi there! As a mother of a toddler myself, I totally understand the challenge of keeping them busy and engaged indoors. One activity that my little one loves is color matching. I use construction paper to cut out shapes in different bright colors, and then give her small objects like buttons, pom poms, and even colored cereal to match the colors to the corresponding shapes on the paper. This activity not only helps her develop her color recognition skills but also her fine motor skills.
Another idea is to make sensory bins. I fill a shallow container with rice, beans or water and add some toys or objects like leaves, shells, and plastic animals for her to play with. Sensory play helps with brain development and is a great way to engage a toddler's curiosity and imagination.
Finally, reading books together is always a great activity. I let my toddler choose which books she wants to read and we talk about the pictures, the words and what the story is about. This helps with language development and sparks an interest in reading.
I hope these suggestions are helpful! Good luck and have fun with your little one.
