I have a 7-year-old child who is starting to show signs of dependence on me for everyday tasks. As a parent, I want to help my child become more independent and develop important life skills that will help them as they grow older. I believe that it is important for children to learn how to take care of themselves and be responsible for their own actions.
However, I am not sure where to start. What are some effective ways to encourage independence in my child as they grow older? How can I make sure that I am giving them enough support while also allowing them to learn and grow on their own? Any tips, suggestions, or personal experiences would be much appreciated.
