My baby loves music. What books can I buy that incorporate music?

Hi everyone,

I'm a new mom and my baby is completely in love with music. She can't stop dancing and bouncing whenever she hears a song and I love seeing her so happy! I want to encourage her love for music and I thought reading books that incorporate music would be a great way to do so, but I'm not sure what books to look for.

Does anyone have any recommendations for books that incorporate music? It can be anything from books with songs or singing in them to books about famous musicians or stories that teach musical concepts. I'm open to anything that would be appropriate for a baby or toddler.

Thank you in advance for your help!

One of the books that my daughter absolutely loves is "Hush Little Baby" by Sylvia Long. This lovely board book features the classic lullaby with beautiful illustrations that tell a story of a mother and child going on a magical adventure together. The book comes with a CD that includes the song, and while playing the audio version along with the story, my daughter loves to sing and dance along with it.

Another great book that you might want to check out is "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saens. The book coupled with the CD features orchestral music and the story follows the animals involved in a musical carnival. Each page showcases different animals in the orchestra and it's a great way to introduce your baby to music and learning about different animals.

Lastly, I would like to recommend "The Remarkable Farkle McBride" by John Lithgow. This fun and engaging book tells the story of a child prodigy who learns to play every instrument under the sun, and the illustrations are fantastic and colorful. The book also comes with an accompanying CD that features an orchestra, making it more interactive and entertaining for your child.

I hope you find these recommendations helpful and that your child enjoys these books as much as mine did!

Hi there!

As a mom of a toddler who also loves music, I have a few recommendations for books that I think your baby might enjoy. One of our favorites is "The Wheels on the Bus" by Jane Cabrera. It's a sing-along book that includes the classic children's song and has colorful illustrations that are sure to capture your baby's attention.

Another book that my daughter loves is "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" by Iza Trapani. Like the previous book, it's a sing-along book with bright and engaging illustrations, and it incorporates hand motions that you and your baby can do together.

For a book that teaches musical concepts, I recommend "Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin" by Lloyd Moss. It's a beautifully illustrated book that teaches about the different instruments in an orchestra and how they come together to make music.

I hope you find these recommendations helpful and that your baby continues to enjoy music as she grows!

Hey everyone,

One fun book I would suggest is "Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes" by James Dean. The book follows the story of Pete the Cat as he walks around town wearing his white shoes and stepping in different things along the way. Each step changes the color of his shoes, but Pete still loves them anyway. This book was recommended to me by a friend and my baby absolutely adores it. The book has a catchy song that goes along with it that my baby loves to sing and dance to.

Another great book to try out is "Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin" by Lloyd Moss. Each page of this book features a different type of instrument in the orchestra and includes rhyming lyrics to go along with the instrument being played. The illustrations are bright and colorful, and the book introduces different instruments that can help foster your child's love for music.

Lastly, I recommend "Mama, Do You Love Me?" by Barbara M. Joosse. This book tells the story of a mother and daughter living in the Arctic Circle and highlights their relationship and the love they have for each other. The book has a great mix of native references and pictures that will keep your baby engaged and entertained.

I hope these recommendations help you in finding some great books that will encourage your child to continue developing their love for music!

As a music teacher for babies and toddlers, I have a few suggestions for books that incorporate music that your child might enjoy. One book that my young students absolutely love is "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael Rosen. You can read the book and sing the song as you go along, which is a great way to keep your baby engaged and interactive.

Another great book to consider is "The Jazz Fly" by Matthew Gollub. This book comes with a CD of jazz music and is a fun and engaging story about a fly who loves to jam with different musical insects. The book is animated and well-illustrated, and your baby will be sure to enjoy the lively tunes.

Lastly, if you are looking for a fun and interactive book that you can read and sing with your baby, I recommend "This Little Piggy: A Hand-Puppet Board Book" by Chronicle Books. The board book includes five different little piggy puppets that you can use to play and sing along with your baby.

I hope you find these recommendations helpful and that you and your baby have lots of fun exploring the world of music together!

Hey, congrats on having a music-loving baby! My daughter is two and she loves everything about music. One book that she really enjoys is "Drum Dream Girl: How One Girl's Courage Changed Music" by Margarita Engle. This book tells the story of a young girl in Cuba who dreams of playing the drums even though it is not allowed for girls. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is inspiring.

Another book that my daughter loves is "Musical Instruments: My Little Sound Book" published by Unicef. It is a small board book that features pictures of different instruments along with a button to press that produces their sounds. It's perfect for introducing your baby to different types of instruments and can be a great learning tool as well.

Lastly, if you want to teach your baby some classic nursery rhymes, "Hey Diddle Diddle and Other Nursery Rhymes" by Vanessa Cabban is an excellent choice. It has traditional nursery rhymes with lovely illustrations that capture the attention of my daughter and keep her engaged.

I hope these book recommendations help entertain and teach your little one about the joys of music!

Hello all!

As a fellow parent whose child has a love for music, I would like to suggest a few books that my son really enjoyed. The first book is "The Singing Mermaid" by Julia Donaldson. This book is filled with rhyming lyrics and a lot of singing and it tells the story of a mermaid who loves to sing. The illustrations are colorful and fun which made it a hit with my son.

Another book that I would like to recommend is "A Symphony of Cowbells" by Heather Preusser. This book tells the story of a young girl named Sophia, who is visiting Switzerland to witness an event where the villagers create music using cowbells. It's a beautifully illustrated book with a great storyline that highlights the importance of music in connecting people.

Lastly, if your baby is a fan of classical music, you might want to check out "Stomp Rockets, Catapults, and Kaleidoscopes: 30+ Amazing Science Projects You Can Build for Less Than $1" by Curt Gabrielson. The book features a lot of exciting and interactive science projects that can be done at home, each one using music as a central element.

I hope these recommendations helped you find some books that your baby can enjoy and that they help nurture your child's love for music!

Hello there!

I highly recommend the Baby Einstein "Meet the Orchestra" book. The book has vibrant illustrations and each page introduces a new instrument while teaching your baby a little bit about the orchestra. My baby loved this book and it became a great way to introduce her to different music types.

Another book that could be of interest is "Play That Music!" by Roxie Munro. This book follows a young boy as he goes around the world, encountering different types of music. It has illustrations of different instruments and musicians from different cultures, making it a great way to introduce your baby to the wonderful world of music.

Lastly, "ABC of Musical Instruments" by Aimee Reid depicts a different instrument for every letter of the alphabet and includes fun facts about each one which can be fascinating for both you and your baby. The bright colors and the novelty of learning about different instruments make it an enjoyable read.

I hope these suggestions help you find something that your baby enjoys and that sparks her love for music!
