My baby has a favorite animal. What books can I buy that feature that animal?

Hello everyone,

I am a new mom to a beautiful baby girl who absolutely adores elephants! I am thrilled that she has taken such a liking to this animal and I want to encourage her love of learning about them.

That being said, I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good books for babies or toddlers that feature elephants? I think it would be a great way for her to familiarize herself with the animal and also hopefully facilitate an interest in reading.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have!

Hello there,

I also have a little one who has a favorite animal - turtles! It was difficult to find books that are centered around turtles, but I was able to find a series of books called "Franklin the Turtle" by Paulette Bourgeois. These books are perfect for toddlers and have simple stories that feature Franklin, a green turtle, and his animal friends.

Another book that my child loves is "Turtle Knows Your Name" by Ashley Bryan. This book features beautiful illustrations and an engaging storyline about a turtle in search of his name. It's a great read for both toddlers and older children alike.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful in your search for elephant books for your little one!

Hi everyone!

My daughter is crazy about giraffes, so I've had my fair share of experience searching for picture books on these amazing creatures. One book that has always been a hit with her is "Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees. It has colorful illustrations, fun rhyme, and teaches a valuable lesson about believing in yourself and being confident in your own way of doing things.

Another great giraffe book we found is "One Spotted Giraffe" by Petr Horacek. It's a lift-the-flap book that features a variety of different animals and their spots but also has an underlying message about friendship and acceptance.

Overall, I highly recommend these two books for any parents out there with little ones who love giraffes!

My son is also an animal enthusiast, particularly when it comes to penguins. We have quite the collection of penguin books, but his favorite is "Tacky the Penguin" by Helen Lester. It's a silly story that follows the adventures of a penguin who is a bit different from his peers, but ultimately proves himself to be quite special in his own way.

Another great penguin book is "Penguins, Penguins, Everywhere!" by Bob Barner. This book is perfect for younger children, with bright, bold illustrations and a simple, easy-to-follow story. It's an excellent way to introduce children to these fascinating birds and spark their curiosity about them.

I hope that helps anyone out there who is searching for books featuring penguins!

My son is also a big animal lover, and his current favorite is sharks! We've found a few great book options for him, including "The Great White Shark Scientist" by Sy Montgomery. This book is a nonfiction account of how scientists study great white sharks, and is filled with cool shark facts and stories about their behavior.

Another shark book that we love is "Clark the Shark" by Bruce Hale. It's a fun, rhyming story that follows a young shark named Clark as he learns about the importance of good behavior and teamwork. The illustrations are bright and colorful, and it's a great way to introduce young children to the world of sharks.

I hope these suggestions are helpful for anyone seeking shark-themed books for their little ones!

My niece is a huge fan of bears and we have a great collection of books to satisfy her interest. One of her favorites is "Bear Snores On" by Karma Wilson. It's a charming story about a bear who is fast asleep in his cave while his forest friends come to keep warm. The rhythm and rhyme make it a fun read-aloud book for children.

Another classic bear book that she loves is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and illustrated by Eric Carle. It's a simple book with repetitive sentences and colorful illustrations, perfect for introducing young children to colors and animals.

I hope these suggestions help anyone out there looking for some bear-themed books for their little ones.

Hi there!

My son went through a phase where he was obsessed with monkeys. I had a really hard time finding good books that featured monkeys specifically, but I did come across a few that he ended up loving.

One book that I highly recommend is "Caps for Sale" by Esphyr Slobodkina. It's an older book, but it features a monkey as the main character and my son absolutely loved it. Another book that he enjoyed was "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" by Eileen Christelow, which is a classic children's book featuring mischievous monkeys.

I hope that helps! Good luck finding some great elephant books for your little one.

Hi there!

My daughter has recently developed a fascination with horses and we've been on a quest to find the best horse storybooks. One of our favorites is "Horse Diaries: Elska" by Catherine Hapka. It's written from the point of view of a horse named Elska as she journeys from her homeland of Iceland to a new home in Greenland. The story is engaging and educational, as it teaches young readers about how horses have been used throughout history.

Another book that my daughter loves is "The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses" by Paul Goble. It's a beautifully illustrated Native American folktale about a young girl, whose love for horses leads her to transform into a horse herself.

I hope these suggestions help anyone else out there with horse-crazy little ones in their lives!
