Q:

How can I help my child develop good habits around hand washing and preventing the spread of germs?

Hi everyone!

I'm a parent of a 5-year-old boy who has recently started pre-school. With the current situation and the risk of the spread of viruses, I'm constantly worried about my child's health and well-being. I want to make sure that he develops good habits around hand washing and preventing the spread of germs.

I know that children at this age tend to touch everything and put things in their mouths, which is why it's essential to teach good hygiene practices. I've been trying to teach him to wash his hands frequently, but I feel like it's not enough, and I need some guidance on how to make sure he develops healthy habits around hygiene.

What are some tips and tricks that have worked for you in teaching your child about handwashing and preventing the spread of germs? I'm open to any suggestions, be it games or reward systems, that may make it easier and exciting for my little one to practice good hygiene.

Thanks in advance for your help!
