Can you provide recommendations for baby carriers suitable for plus-size caregivers?

Hi everyone,

I am an expecting mom and I am on the bigger side. I have been searching for a good quality baby carrier that is suitable for plus-size caregivers but I am having a hard time finding the right one. I am looking for a carrier that is comfortable, adjustable and supports my back.

I have tried a few carriers in stores but I found that the straps were too short, the carrier didn't fit well or it wasn't comfortable. I am open to any type of carrier, whether it's a wrap, sling or structured carrier, as long as it is suitable for plus-size caregivers.

Does anyone have any recommendations or personal experience with a carrier that worked well for them? I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you in advance!

Hi all,

I am also a plus-size caregiver, and after conducting a lot of research, I went with the Ergobaby Adapt carrier. The waistband has an adjustable range of up to 57 inches, and the shoulder straps are well-padded and adjustable to accommodate larger frames. Another plus is that it is suitable for newborns and toddlers up to 45 pounds, meaning it's a long-term investment.

Another carrier I can recommend is the Baby Tula Explore. The waistband extends up to 57 inches and the straps can be adjusted to fit comfortably. It comes in a variety of patterns so you can choose one that suits your style.

Hope this helps your search!

Hello all,

As a plus-size caregiver, I'd like to recommend the Beco Gemini carrier. This carrier worked great for my son when he was a baby, and it is comfortable for me to wear for an extended period. The waistband extends up to 57 inches and the adjustable shoulder straps are easy to manipulate for a perfect fit.

Another carrier that has worked well for me is the Infantino Flip Advanced 4-in-1. It comes with a waistband that fits up to 56 inches and has adjustable straps to create a perfect fit. It's also convertible into four different carrying positions, including the inward-facing position, making it suitable for newborns.

Hope this helps you in your search for a comfortable baby carrier!

Hi there,

As a plus-size caregiver myself, I highly recommend the LILLEbaby Complete All Seasons carrier. It has a plus-size waistband extension that fits comfortably up to 52 inches, and the padded shoulder straps are adjustable and easily accommodate a larger frame. I have used this carrier for both of my kids and it's been a lifesaver.

Another option I would suggest is the Moby Wrap Classic. This wrap is totally customizable and can be adjusted to fit any body size. It's also extremely comfortable and distributes the weight of the baby evenly, which makes wearing for longer periods of time more bearable.

Hope this helps!

Hello everyone,

I too have struggled to find a comfortable baby carrier to fit my plus-size frame until I discovered the Boba X carrier. The waistband extends up to 58 inches, while the shoulder straps are thick and firmly padded to support your back and shoulders. The Boba X carrier also features an ergonomic seat for your baby's hips and legs, ensuring a comfortable ride for your little one.

Another carrier worth checking out is the Tushbaby. This carrier sits on your hip, carrying your baby's weight off your back and freeing your hands to tackle other tasks. It comes with an adjustable waistband and is designed to fit waists ranging from 22 inches to 44 inches.

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone,

Another carrier that I can recommend for plus-size caregivers is the Catbird Baby Pikkolo carrier. This carrier has an adjustable waistband that fits up to 58 inches and the shoulder straps are well-padded and adjustable to accommodate larger frames. It's also versatile, allowing you to wear it on your front or back, depending on your preference.

Another carrier that worked well for me is the Tula Free-to-Grow carrier. The waistband extends up to 57 inches and the shoulder straps can be easily adjusted for a custom fit. The Free-to-Grow carrier is designed to grow with your baby, so it's suitable for newborns to toddlers up to 45 pounds.

I hope this information helps you find the perfect carrier for you and your little one!
